There are a number of resources available to help develop new equations that will sound good on the Equation Composer:
The best tool I’ve found for developing equations is an iOS App called “BitWiz Audio Synth 2”. BitWiz allows you to use the x and y touch-screen variables in equations, which are especially useful for testing out p1, p2, and p3 inputs in the Equation Composer. When working with BitWiz, be sure to set “r=1”, which sets the sample rate to 44,100.
An excellent generative bytebeat creator.
An straightforward equation player.
